Sustainable Energy For A Sustainable World

The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to purchase 22 million kilowatt-hours of solar and wind renewable energy certificates (RECs), which will equal 100 percent of the Major League Baseball team’s electricity demand for a period of two years. The REC purchase stems from the team’s “Red Goes Green” initiative, which started with the team’s enrollment in the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership program in 2008.
